CASE STUDIES

Client: Topcutz 2 Hairdressers, Southampton
Date: April 2008
Duration: 20 hours
1 Lowryder

Topcutz 2 are located in a low footfall residential area and offer a range of
services from hair styling, tanning, nail manicure, massage, through to pet grooming.

The salon had recently re-located from an area 4 miles away and wanted to inform former customers of their move and raise awareness of a Spring Offer they were running through April and May to the surrounding area.

Most of their former customers where women with children of school age so
Lowryders Advertising targeted the schools in the area Topcutz had
re-located from, with a bike circulating the immediate vicinity and static placement outside the schools from 8.30am-9.30am and 3pm-4pm twice a week for 2 weeks and once on the third week. By day 2 the proprietor had already received enquiries about their new location.

The second month we concentrated on raising general awareness in the immediate vicinity surrounding the salon. A bike was placed between
8.00am-9.00am on a main commuter road into Southampton
approx half a mile from the salon and did circuits of the local schools
3pm-4pm. At weekends shoppers were targeted in a nearby pedestrian precinct. Saturday mornings 11-2pm and on Sundays shoppers to the local superstore and carboot sale also 11am-2pm.

At all locations flyers were handed out.

Result.

Topcutz 2 were extremely pleased with the Lowryder campaign. Infact with so many customers requesting the Spring Offer during May they decided to withdraw the offer early. Owner Lynn Inch from Topcutz 2 said "We're always looking new ways to raise our profile in the local area and found Lowryders to be friendly, approachable, and effective in helping us to achieve that".
